Showcase Chaos is an open stage event hosted by Beezy Douglas.
How do I sign up & how much time do I get?
Performers are randomly called for sign up at 7:50pm. You may be called first, but can sign up to perform last. Conversely, you may be called last, but forced to take the first slot if that’s all that is available.
12 Minutes + 1 additional minute for every audience member you bring along to the show. (15 minutes max)
What’s the vibe?
This is a listening space. Showcase Chaos audiences have enjoyed local musicians, comedians, storytellers, puppeteers, strongmen, poets, magicians, playwrights, and more!
Every month we have a different theme for flow and inspiration. Visit https://bzdug.com/showcase for this month’s theme!
In addition to the captivating performances, attendees appreciate the community and camaraderie this event regularly conjures.
What is available to performers?
Green room, Aux & Bluetooth input for backing tracks, a full drum kit, Acoustic & Bass Amps, and a fog machine!
What’s with the suggested donation?
100% of the door charge goes to the host, Beezy Douglas.
That covers his time setting up and hosting (5-6 hours), and the gear he makes available to performers. If you can’t afford it, no problem, but 50¢/min is pretty reasonable for access to such a great stage in a nurturing environment.

And what’s a Showcase without an audience? So if you’re an audience member and can’t afford it, no problem, but $1.50/hr for a live show is a deal you’ll be hard pressed to find anywhere in town.
