Brian “Beezy” Douglas writes songs that will stir your soul and shake your boots in equal measure. His lyrics ponder the harsh realities of our daily grind, the ups and downs of relationships, and the struggle to maintain dignity and integrity in a world that often seems stacked against us.
Douglas first started performing original music at open mics in New York City in 2009. He was inspired by a young Texas troubadour, Charley Crockett, who befriended Douglas and gave him the musical moniker “Beezy”.
Beezy has spent the past fifteen years honing his craft, bringing his music to audiences of all ages as a street performer, paid professional, and open mic attendee in any town he finds himself in. From nursing homes to hipster bars, Beezy’s authenticity and passion have an undeniable appeal. He is a one-of-a-kind act who can captivate everyone from millennials to centennials, boomers to zoomers.
Since that time, Douglas has continued to keep his eyes and ears close to the grassroots music scene of any town he’s in. He currently resides outside of Cleveland, Ohio, producing variety shows and open mics that offer emerging artists a fun and supportive space to hone their craft.
