| Other Info | Hey my old Akron-ite friends, it's your old co/worker, friend, dancin' buddy, Brian! Since I started playin' music, I gained the nickname "BZ", an felt it fits as new blues man. After 20 years of playing and composing songs alone at home and ten years of resisting the advice of Bill Hicks and committing suicide due to my career within the advertising industry, I finally stepped out and started performing on stage in early 2009. I play original blues and folk, and I'm known to throw in an eclectic mix of covers ranging from Leonard Cohen to the Dead Milkmen. http://www.myspace.com/bzdug I just concluded the first season of my monthly variety show "The BZ Douglas Carnivale", with a 16 hour mini-festival which featured more than 40 performers. One of the all-stars of the first season is the man who asked me to open up for him on the Ohio leg of his tour: Pat Hull. Pat Hull is a songwriter living in New York. He has three albums that were all created in Chico, California: Yes (2008), Forever’s Night (2009), and Pat Hull (2009). Musicians Dan Masquelier (violin), Mark Robertson (double bass), Erin Lizardo (vocals), Bob Reynolds (Drums), Cody Caudill (percussion), and Nathan Coy (French Horn), have all accompanied him on his albums and live performances. He is now working on finishing up a fourth album due on July 1st, 2010 entitled Fable Names. http://www.pathullmusic.com/ http://www.myspace.com/pathull |
