7:00pm - All Ages
Where
9 Bleecker Street

New York, NY 10012
Other Info

It's time again to sharpen your thumbs, water your eyeballs, and open your ears, because the THIRD Carnivale of the year is here!

As always throughout the evening will be Feats of Strength tournaments and Raffle prizes, and after our closing act there is an Open Mic that gets everyone up who signs up and stays up, no matter how late!

7-8pm : BZ~DZ Family Jam & Hootenanny

8pm Opening Song with Mike "Fucking" Milazzo
(I just said, Mike **FUCKING** Milazzo, kids.)

The lead guitarist of our feature act will grace us with at least forty-five minutes, I hope! He's my guitar-bi-wan kenobi, don't miss this set!

From here on out I'm just going to list who's performing, with no guarantees as to when, or for how long, or on what floor. It's Chaos Reigns as always in this realm...

* Duke Taylor
If you've strolled past the Yippie Cafe or ever stuck around for Occupational Hazards on Wednesday, then you know what he's got. If you haven't heard him play, I can't tell you what a discovery this man is, you just gotta hear it for yourself.

* John Murdock
The Gentleman Scumbag, dirty balloon man, radio host, degenerate, no matter what you may call John, it will never be boring or tame.

* Dan Kinch
At the link above or on the below wall you'll find the video that first brought Dan to my attention. He's been a tireless performer at various OWS functions, and I'm happy to help spread his talent around.

* Umberto MacDougal
Having trouble getting a date to the come with you to the show? Did your date leave you during the show? No matter the source of your manpain, find the companionship you need to get you through a beautiful, lonesome spring evening.

* Mr. MarBar
We don't know when, and we don't know where, but this man has said he will be at the show and I know all I have to do is put a guitar, a stool, and an amp by him and he'll get to work making your ears bleed through your eyes. Don't ask how he does it, it's just gross.

* KILL THE BAND
The most epic "mock-n-roll" band you have ever seen. This band can and will go anywhere, as it's got it all... Bass, Beatbox, Sax, Guitar, Leotard Crotch Shots, Props, Aliens, Famous Babies, all that. They got it.

Following our family-friendly Parents for OWS Occupy Playdate from 12-6, we'll kick off the show in standard fashion!

Here's the breakdown, give a take an hour (check out the wall for videos of the artists):

7:00pm ~ BZ/DZ Family Hootenanny
8:00pm ~ Opening Ceremonies followed by CMT People's Choice Nominee and all around great guy, Robinson Treacher, in his first appearance at Carnivale!
9:00pm ~ John Murdock - The Gentleman Scumbag
9:15pm ~ Feat Of Strength: Nerf Dueling
9:30pm ~ Mike Ogletree - Fmr. Drummer for Simpleminds, and fulltime modern reincarnation of Robbie Burns. So glad to have him back.
10:00pm ~ Umberto MacDougal - Explainer of Manpain!
10:15pm ~ FOS: Staring Contest / First Raffle
10:30pm ~ Keyke - Another newcomer, she wowed me at Potion and did it again at last month's Chaos Mic. Allow me to allow her to wow you this month.
11:00pm ~ Skinny Bitch Jesus Meeting. I just realized that I haven't actually gotten around to booking them yet, but they've never let me down in the past. One of the best and hardest working sketch groups in NYC.
11:15pm ~ FOS: Rock/Paper/Scissors
11:30pm ~ Tim Shea
11:45pm ~ Second Raffle / The King's Speech
12:00am ~ East River String Band. Since good things come in threes, a final first-time act. I first saw them at Tell Your Friends about two years ago and have wanted to book them ever since.
1:00am ~ Chaos Reigns Open Mic
Eventually ~ Dawn

As always, there will be lots of expected extras like Facepainting, balloons, and raffles, as well as a few unexpected ones to keep things interesting.

Oh yeah, it's also my birthday... :)
